I'm constantly asked to make this tasty dish and why not? It is a hearty meal in itself, perfect for game day or when you don't want to spend all day in the kitchen. I will usually serve it with cheesy homemade garlic bread.

Easy Slow Cooker Spanish Rice

Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef

1 (28 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes

2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce

2 green bell peppers

chopped

1 cup water

2 yellow onions

chopped

1 cup converted raw rice

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons chili powder

½ teaspoon hot sauce

or to taste

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

or to taste

Directions

Step 1

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until lightly browned and crumbly 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard fat.

Step 2

Transfer beef to a slow cooker. Add tomatoes tomato sauce green bell peppers water onions rice Worcestershire sauce chili powder and hot sauce. Cook on High until rice is tender about 3 hours. Serve in bowls and top with Cheddar cheese.
