I combined two of my friends' guacamole recipes for Cinco de Mayo and woah! What a tasty guacamole it made! My friends and family raved! It's now on my list of potluck recipes. It's absolutely delicious as a fajita topping too! Enjoy! This recipe makes a medium-sized bowl of guac, so use more or less avocados for your party.

Cinco de Mayo Guacamole

Ingredients

6 ripe avocados

halved and pitted

¼ red onion

finely diced

2 tablespoons lime juice

5 chopped leaves cilantro

or to taste

1 clove garlic

minced

1 teaspoon salt

or to taste

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

½ cup reduced-fat sour cream

or as needed

½ tomato

chopped

Directions

Step 1

Scoop 5 avocados into a large bowl. Add red onion lime juice cilantro garlic salt pepper and 2 dollops of sour cream. Mash with a fork until desired texture is reached. Cut remaining avocado into chunks and stir into guacamole with tomato. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
