2 cups packed fresh basil leaves

1 cup walnuts

4 cloves garlic

chopped

1 cup extra-virgin olive oil

or to taste

1 ¼ cups grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon salt

or to taste

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

or to taste

Combine basil walnuts and garlic in a food processor; blend well. Stop the motor and add oil; process until well mixed. Add Parmesan cheese salt and pepper; process briefly once more.
