Creamy Apple Slaw

⅓ cup white sugar

3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix

1 (8 ounce) package shredded cabbage and carrot mix

3 apples - peeled

cored

and diced

2 stalks celery

chopped

3 green onions

thinly sliced

salt and ground black pepper to taste
