Chocolate Chess Pie

Ingredients

1 (9 inch) pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie

1 ½ cups white sugar

3 ½ tablespoons cocoa

½ cup butter

melted

1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk

2 eggs

beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¾ cup chopped pecans

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C)

Step 2

Mix together sugar cocoa and melted butter. Stir in evaporated milk beaten eggs vanilla and chopped pecans.

Step 3

Pour nut mixture into unbaked pie shell. Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and bake for 30 minutes.
